Train Your Dog With Care And Consistency

A common pet among many people are dogs. Dogs make great household companions, as they are very lovable and playful. Dogs can be a great pet for anyone if they are trained properly. Use the advice in the following article if you need help training your dog.

When training your dog, it is important to add play into the training sessions. This will help keep your dog interested. Play with his toy and show him how much fun you are having. This will help a dog with low motivation to stay interested. When you want him to take a toy, don’t shove it at him, make him take it from you.

Make your pet take your commands seriously. Do what you can to enforce commands that you give so that you don’t have to repeat them over and over. Don’t allow your dog to ignore a command you make. If you’re not showing that you’re serious about enforcing commands, don’t give any.

Teaching a dog to know its name is the first dog training task a new dog owner should undertake. The name is used in calling the dog and just in getting its attention. Therefore it is more appropriate to choose a short and easily enunciated name than a longer and more confusing one.

Just as reinforcement of good behavior when training a dog should be immediate, so too should punishment for bad behavior be immediate. Saying “no” in a harsh voice tells the dog he has acted inappropriately but he only connects the message with the targeted behavior if that message is delivered immediately after that act.

To teach your dog how to sit on cue, first find a good, soft, smelly treat that your dog will find irresistible, like a piece of cheese or a slice of hotdog. Keep the treat small, about the size of the nail on your pinky. Then, take the treat in your fist, and hold it over your dog’s head, low enough that his nose comes up to reach the treat, but not so high that he tries to jump for it. Smoothly move the treat backwards, and as his nose comes up, his butt will go down. Give the dog the treat as soon as his butt hits the floor, and say your cue word at the same time.

Never treat your dog as a person. Many pet owners coddle their dogs as if they were children, and this only confuses your pet. Training a dog is completely different than teaching a child. Dogs need to be taught to behave as a dog and expect you to behave as a dog as well when it is necessary.

Exercising your dog is a good way to get rid of pent up energy which can impede training. Through this technique you establish a calm demeanor in your dog. This does not mean tiring the animal completely, but blowing off some excess steam can greatly reduce over excitement when training.

  1. Somewhere inside your <body></body> as per need:

    <a href="targetURL">Click Here</a>

Where targetURL is the URL you want to direct traffic to.

This also works for wording other than click here.

    BEST WISHES!

  2. The code is usually on your "about me" section. Look for a code that starts with <a> and ends with </a> and between those codes you should see "Get a great new layout today! *click here* " words and erase everything but make sure you erase starting with <a> until you get to </a>. The <a> usually stands for the beginning of a code and </a> means its closing the code. You could think of them like quotations.

That all I can tell you.
    I hope this helps you!
    Read carefully!

P.s Copy the whole code and paste it in a word document so if you mess up, you already have the original code saved.

  3. It is not possible on Yahoo! Answers because Y!A does not support the correct HTML scripts to do so.

On MySpace, I'm aware you can use the 'a href' script to insert a link, but something like that it not possible to do here on Y!A.

  4. Link Codes:

    Making an image a link:

    <p><a href="URL path to external link" title="Mouseover Description"><img style="width: XXpx; height: YYpx; border: 0;" src="Path to image" alt="Text Description"></a></p>

If site does not host images, then you MUST host your image online at any good image hosting site. The "src" image URL MUST be the DIRECT link to the image alone and not to the page the image is on. Put the correct link for the site in the href="" attribute. Put the DIRECT URL to ONLY the image in the src="" attribute.

    Text Link only:

    <p><a href="URL path to external link" title="Mouseover Description">Link Text Description</a></p>

You can change the "p" tags to div tags and style as needed.

  5. Your e-mail must not support HTML. See if there is an option in the settings to turn HTML on. There may also be a button in the tool bar you can press to where your e-mail will insert the link automatically.

  6. it would help if you posted the whole code or e-mail it to me.
You probably just have an open tag somewhere that's messing things up.

  7. It's just a pop up you will click it and it will ask you to feel out some details that is all.
but i do not recommend filling them out as it will spam your email inbox ect.
